Our Factory
O&S found its home at 1628 Fatherland Street in Nashville, TN in the fall of 2014.
Every O&S product is made at our beloved factory in East Nashville. Two 120 year old Melanguers stone grind our in-house roasted cocoa beans, and each bar and confection is lovingly handcrafted in a building that hold as much personality as the Southern Artisan™ treats themselves!
When presented with the idea of relocating the factory, we knew we wanted a building that told a story. Prior to being the home for Olive & Sinclair, 1628 fatherland Street was built in 1890 as an H.G Hill Grocery Store, and later continuing its life in the food business as a space for the Archway Cookie Company. When O&S procured the building in 2014 we were excited to begin returning 1628 back to its roots, filling the space with our old school equipment and decor to truly make it feel like home.
From our antique pendent factory lighting rescued from an old army barrack outside of Atlanta, to the 200-year-old heart pine used to replace rotted support beams, all lit by the glow of the vintage EAT neon diner sign we scored out in Virginia, every part of our factory helps you get to know the soul and spirit of Olive & Sinclair.
